They are ready to get out there.

           OUR DAILY DIVINE DOINGS

Get up.    Get up to know what’s on God’s mind. That’s called prayer.  Prayer has six parts: Praise, Thank You, Confession, Petition, Intercession, and Listening. Matthew 6: 9-15

Get dressed.    Get dressed to wear the armor of God.  There are six pieces: Belt, Breastplate, Shoes, Shield, Helmet, and Sword. Ephesians 6:13-18

Get out there.    Get out there to share fruit of the spirit. There are nine fruits: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness, Goodness, Meekness, Faithfulness, and Self-control. Galatians 5: 22-23

Don't you agree  these three grandkids have gotten up, gotten dressed and are ready to get out there. I want you to notice one thing: they all are happy children   reflecting  the joyous life of one who is ready to stop aiming and start firing.

Adam listens to one voice...Annaleigh.
   PAY ATTENTION

·
Belt of truth    This belt kept other parts in place so not to interfere with movement. This gives freedom.  The belt of truth is one voice-God’s voice not tangled up with other voices.  It produces the fruit of the spirit called love. Mainly, it is our love relationship with Jesus.  It is the voice of prayer resulting in Praise.

Adam is listening to one voice (Aannaleigh) in the middle of the the voices, music and maddness of Disney World. He is focused with his belt on. He is also paying attention, listening to the words.  Just like this picutre, our Love Relationship with God centers around these Words: "I am the way and the truth and the light to lead you to your Father. Listen to my voice."

A joy filled litte girl.
                     STAND UP

Breastplate of Righteousness   This is our imputed (received as a gift) right thinking, right acting as we stand “in Christ Jesus.” It frees us to experience the joy of the love relationship.  It is the Thank You voice of prayer.

Anna's beads represent the breastplate of righteousness or the "mind of  Christ" given to us when we become Christians. Do you  doubt there is joy on that face? That same joy should be on the thankful face of each Christian.

Adam facing the enemy head on.
                 FACE THE ENEMY

Shoes of Peace    Shoes make you to be surefooted, give you stability and readiness to share the Good News that God is not our enemy but our defender.  This produces the fruit of peace, the outcome of the correct relationship and patience, the maintenance of the love relationship.  It is the Petition or Intercession voice of prayer.

Adam has on his shoes of peace (his grandfather's slippers). He is using them to face the enemy. In this picture, it is most probably his twin brother, Neal. Don't forget to begin your day praying on the shoes of peace to give you stability, readiness and balance to share God's good news.

Don't even think about beating me.
                  MOVING ON
Shield of Faith:  The shield is to be used to shield us from darts of fear, doubt, panic, stagnation, etc.  The faith is the trust that acts upon our beliefs.  This allows us to produce gentleness, which is the inside workings of the love relationship.  Also it produces goodness, the outside workings of the love relationship. It is either prayers for yourself or others.

Look at Annaleigh shielding the goal to prevent Anna from scoring. She is acting on her belief she can do it! When we pray on the Shield of Faith it results in our freedom to produce goodness and gentleness.

Getting ready to hit the wall.
         HITTING THE WALL

Helmet of Salvation:   As we move on we will “hit the wall” and lose hope, wanting to give up.  This has nothing to do with our initial salvation experience but with our growing and functioning as a Christian.  Because of this we produce meekness that says, “I need you, Lord.”  This is the Confession voice of prayer.

Adam and Neal are ready to play ball. The are all smiles and eager to begin. Let me assure you, both of them did fall down and "hit the wall" after this picuture was taken. I dont know about you, but when I hit the wall it producess meeknes in me that cries ou, "I need you, Lord."

We are keeping on after you,GG.
       KEEP ON KEEPING ON

Sword of the Spirit    The sword is God’s Word that orders our life.   It is His Word of authority found primarily in scripture that has been personalized for us by His Spirit.  The result of our using the sword is the fruit of faithfulness (God focus of the love relationship) and self-control (self in step with God.) This is the Listening voice of prayer as we read God’s Word not just for information but for transformation.

The twins and their GG are in a battle with some rolled up paper swords. Looks as if Neal and GG are sneaking up on Adam. What keeps me keeping on is God's Word personalized by his Spirit. This is when I listen to him and not just do all the talking.

Jesus never made a daily list of things to do.
Surely his life was focused, not on a list, but on
People to care about as he went about doing
                                                               His Father’s Work!
