Loving God's "Lilies"

                                               Consider the Lilies

Day Two:            “Consider the lilies how they grow.” Luke 12: 27

My response:   “Father, You have to be kidding! I know when Jesus used the word ‘lilies’ he was referring to the wild flowers scattered along the wayside. I also know most folks don’t see them at all; and surely this part of your creation never fusses over their outward appearances. My world today fusses over being seen, being well dressed, being well off.  These fussy people are filled with such harshness and ‘tricks of the trade.’ They even apply it to your work. So when I consider the lilies do you mean for me to not fuss over outward appearances and depend on you to grow me?”

His reply:
“My child, you are almost there. I have a lot of lilies out there getting overlooked by the world. You need to find them for me and love and encourage them just for me. Don’t forget, in all your business for me, to look for my lilies.”

My response:
“Finally, now I got it! I’m to be like the lilies in that they depend on their Creator to grow them. As my Creator, grow me to be more like your Son who never overlooked the lilies  in need of love.
