                                                                                Caution!

You are About to Enter a Strolling Zone.

No place for wheelers and dealers.

Perfect place for those who take time to dream and swing.

As you probably know my website is not one you hit and click so you  can have instant inspiration or information. It is one you stroll through  at your leisure letting His Sprit lead.

I'm sure busy, busy folks are turned off by it, but I do bill it as "Welcome to Billie's World", and this is my world of relationships and not racing through life. Thank you for being part of it. Come back soon and visit with me and, if you are a stroller, let me hear from you.

Come Stroll With Me

                                           COME STROLL WITH ME

At times my phone will ring.  An uneasy voice ventures this question, "Our speaker can't come at the last minute. Can you come? "

The question is answered with calmness, "Certainly, I would love to share this fellowship with your group."    Now these words can be spoken because I am learning to stroll.  In fact I value strolling.

Some of you reading this column are not strollers.  You are marathon runners.  You are like the energizer battery that goes on and on.  I applaud you. I value you in my life.  But, at times I just can't keep up with you.

Others are sprinters.  You talk fast, move fast, and get things done in a hurry and move on to the next undertaking.  Again, I applaud you.  I value your contribution to our churches and other organizations.  Yet, at times I get mixed up when I am around you.

Then there are strollers.  They take time to dream and swing.  They have time to actually listen to you.  Their pace is unhurried, leaving time for an occasional hug.  They seem to add a velvety touch to the roughness of your life. Yet, they are not passive.  They are very much alive because they take risks to open themselves up to others.  I like strollers.  I need strollers in my life.

I want to say thank you for those who have strolled with me through happy and sad days, teaching days and learning days, bad days and good days.  Why do I value strolling and strollers?

Strolling is a vaccine to all the vain endeavors in our lives.

Strollers can vanquish negative vibes from others and life-long vendettas on our families and home.

Strolling gives us time to think about the vacant emptiness of our lives needing to be filled with kingdom or true values.

Strolling keeps us vibrant and full of life, giving us vigor and power.  It encourages us to put voice to those true values in a sometimes vulgar, valueless world.

Put a voice or feet to your heart right now.  Tell someone you value him or her. Take time to stroll with your children, your grandchildren, and your spouse.  That's a great way to let others know you are thankful for their invasion in your life no matter how long ago or for how short a time.

I have this on good authority for last week as I prayed through Ephesians, I discover this truth in Ephesians 2:10:
We are God's masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus. (We have value.)  So we do the good things he planned for us to do long ago.?

Do a good thing and say thank you to someone today who has taken time to stroll with you.

I just said a thank you to my heavenly Father for your taking time to stroll through my website. Maybe, just maybe, you will meet Him there, too.
